Jesus Is LIFTED When…
OUR WORSHIP IS…
For and focused on God Only - “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve” (Matt. 4:10).
Not about us in any form -
“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” (Matt. 15:8)
“But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matt. 15:9)
TRUE WORSHIP…
Happens and our Worship actions are led by Holy Spirit and the Truth of God’s Word - “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”(John 4:23)
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”(John 4:24)
Has Biblical Foundations-
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”(Colossians 3:16)
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” (Colossians 3:17)
